Pakistan, a developing
country with a population of over 220 million, is making significant strides in
the field of technology. The country has a growing number of startups and tech
companies, and the government and private sector are investing heavily in the
development of high-tech skills in the country.
One of the key players in
the promotion of high-tech skills training in Pakistan is the National
Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC). NAVTTC has trained over
85,000 individuals across Pakistan in various high-tech trades. Under the Prime
Minister's Youth Skill Development Program (PMYSDP), NAVTTC is conducting
training in high-tech, high-end, and digital technologies to help the youth
excel in this era of the fourth industrial revolution. The program includes
courses in advanced electronics, artificial intelligence, office automation,
internet of things, augmented reality, and robotics, among others.
In addition to NAVTTC and
PMYSDP, there are other stakeholders playing a critical role in promoting
high-tech skills training in Pakistan. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of
Pakistan is responsible for regulating higher education institutions in the country
and has launched several initiatives to promote science and technology
education. The private sector is also investing heavily in the development of
high-tech skills in Pakistan. Several private companies and organizations, such
as the National Incubation Center (NIC), the Plan9 Technology Incubator, and
the Nest I/O, are providing training and resources to individuals to help them
develop their skills and contribute to the growth of the technology sector in
the country. Technology Upgradation and Skill Development Company (TUSDEC) is
another significant player in the promotion of high-tech skills training in
Pakistan, having done 9,279 industrial jobs, trained 84,736 individuals in
various high-tech trades, and upgraded 26 labs throughout the country.
The government of
Pakistan is also taking several steps to promote high-tech skills training in
the country. The Digital Pakistan initiative is one such initiative that aims
to promote the use of technology in various sectors of the economy. The
government is investing in the development of infrastructure to support the
growth of the technology sector in the country.

is on the path to becoming a tech-savvy nation, and the promotion of high-tech
skills training is a collaborative effort between various stakeholders. NAVTTC,
